On the Isle of Sheppey it is possible to find interwoven borders, fences and signs, revealing both explicit and implicit characteristics. The island is defined by its multitude of lines, each one intricate and entangled. Here, not every separation represents a true divide; sometimes, boundaries become territories where two spaces seamlessly merge.

The act of traversing from point A to B became the essence of this project, while surveying and subverting boundaries became a way of imprinting the experience on the island, the use of analogue photography revealed a unique perspective, enabling a perception of the island through a new lens. Under the influence of these new images, collage became the means to translate encounters and unveil connections that were previously concealed.

In an effort to reframe and redefine these boundaries, objects are placed along their borders, aiming to open them up or redirect a gaze. These interventions serve as visual narratives, reshaping the perception of boundaries and prompting new ways of seeing.Together these interventions aim to shed light on the hidden complexities of Sheppey's borders and encourage the re-evaluation of their relationship with space. By unveiling the interplay between boundaries, territories, and the human experience, the project seeks to provoke a deeper understandings of the dynamic nature of our surroundings.
