Everyday we are exposed to micro-moments of 'insignificance'. Minimal things, from the blink of an eye, to an unconscious interaction with a stranger, surpass our every day observation; things we never notice, but have always been there. When acknowledged, the result is a non-linear journey through one's imagination, creating a palpable and connectable experience to the world around us.
This journey takes the form of omnidirectional stimuli within our optical realm, ranging from concise moments, to decontextualised surroundings. This creates a need to enrich the identification of the 'ordinary' moments in a manageable form, including every moment and every detail - allowing us to wake up to the world around us, and to forge new memories in the pursuit and recognition of these fleeting moments.
The project harnesses the potential of these ‘micro-moments’ by bringing together medical treatment with sensory intervention, resulting in a palpable holistic framework of understanding between humanity and landscape. The result is an understanding capable of unravelling the intrinsic link of complexity between human beings and the landscape, through the juxtaposition of sense of space within the compound of sight.
